ALPHA BETA EPSILON OMEGA: HOW IT ALL STARTED

The summer of 2019 marked a season of purpose and determination for the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® residing in Collier County, Florida. Their mission was clear: unite like-minded sorority sisters across Southwest Florida to fulfill the sorority’s timeless charge of providing “Service to All Mankind.” With a shared vision and unwavering resolve, these women set their sights on establishing a chapter in Collier County.

In January 2020, the group - named Pearls of Service Collier County, outlined the pressing need for community-based services throughout the area and applied to be officially recognized as an interest group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

This vision became a reality on December 12, 2021, when Alpha Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter was proudly chartered with 21 extraordinary members: Ms. Shirley Lewis Archie, Dr. Dawn Bertram Stewart, Mrs. Bessie M. Brown, Ms. D’Nai Bullen, Mrs. Hilda Cenecharles, Esq., Mrs. Blondell J. Davis*, Ms. Crystal Diggs, Dr. Karen H. Hawkins, Mrs. Katherine T. Koonce, Ms. Eugenia G. Lewis, Dr. Patricia A. Lietzow, Ms. Pamela J. Moore, Mrs. Harriet Patton, Mrs. Tonya L. Phipps, Mrs. Reesa Motley Reynolds, Ms. Quinetta Ryal, Ms. Theresa Shaw, Mrs. Jeris L. Smith, Reverend Lori Snell, Ms. Phyllis E. Tyler, and Ms. Venesse Williams, Esq.

The journey of Alpha Beta Epsilon Omega began long before the summer of 2019. It was born in the hearts of these charter members, who firmly believed that sharing their God-given gifts, talents, and resources to uplift others was and remains a worthy calling.

With unity of purpose, the women of Alpha Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® are committed to carrying out the sorority’s mission with love, compassion, and sincerity. As their story continues to unfold, they remain dedicated to serving all mankind and making a lasting impact in Collier County and beyond.
